The Aylsham Manor

The home accommodates up to 30 older people, some living with dementia, across two floors of a converted period building with multiple communal areas and extensive gardens close to local amenities. At inspection, 27 people were using the service. Residents reported feeling happier, more confident and experiencing a genuine sense of belonging. Relatives described having peace of mind knowing their family members were well cared for and praised staff confidence. People said they would recommend the service.

The provider had made significant improvements since the last inspection, though further embedding of progress was needed. Governance systems had not fully identified and rectified some issues, including gaps in recruitment practices and training records, as well as incomplete documentation relating to the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
