Thameside is a residential care home in Surrey, offering families in the area a local option for their loved ones. The home's governance systems did not consistently support safe care delivery. While quality assurance processes existed, they failed to identify improvement areas and potential safety risks, including environmental issues. Care plans were in place and set out how to meet residents' needs in a person-centred way, with information provided to people in accessible formats.
The inspector recommended enhancing the variety of available activities for residents.
