Tegfield House

Tegfield House provides personal care to up to 24 people in a two-storey adapted building, with 23 residents at the time of inspection. People and their relatives reported receiving exceptionally good care, with residents enabled to participate in assessments and care planning to lead fulfilling lives. Staff were well-trained in safeguarding procedures and clear about their responsibilities, with people feeling safe throughout the service.

The home maintained high safety standards through comprehensive risk assessments and the extensive use of technology to minimise risks, including falls mats, movement sensors, and air mattresses to maintain skin integrity. All equipment maintenance and servicing was completed on schedule, from daily safety walkarounds to tree surveys of the grounds. The provider thoroughly investigated all concerns according to relevant policies and procedures, ensuring safety monitoring was consistently delivered to a high standard.
