About Swanton House Care Centre
Swanton House Care Centre is a nursing home in Norfolk, providing care for adults with mental health conditions, disabilities, autism or physical disability. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.
Swanton House Care Centre provides residential and nursing care for up to 49 people across three units, supporting adults with mental health conditions, disabilities, autism or physical disability. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, identifying breaches relating to safe care and treatment and to governance. Inspectors found inconsistent oversight across units, care records that did not fully reflect people's needs and risks, and hospital passports that were out of date.
Despite this, the CQC found a consistent, caring staff team who knew people well, a clean and well-maintained environment, and good medicines management. Activities and community access were limited for some, and people had not always been involved in planning their own care. Most people and families gave positive feedback about daily support.
