Susan Hampshire House

Susan Hampshire House provides accommodation for up to 16 people with a learning disability and autistic people, with 12 people living there at the time of assessment. It is a large house close to Yate town centre, offering easy access to shops and leisure facilities. The CQC rated the service Good overall, an improvement from the previous requires improvement rating, after finding earlier breaches around safe care, staffing and governance had been resolved.

Inspectors found staff understood people's needs well, managed risks appropriately and were well supported through training. Staffing levels were sufficient, and the service was found to be well led, with a proactive management team and positive feedback from people, relatives and professionals about the care provided.
