Summerdale Court Care Home

Summerdale Court is a residential care home providing personal care and nursing care for up to 60 people, with 38 residents at the time of inspection. The home operates on one floor divided into two sides. The registered manager has implemented additional systems, audits, and regular meetings with staff, people, and relatives to improve the service. People and relatives reported seeing marked improvements and better experiences of care than previously. Refurbishment work has significantly improved the environment.

However, inspectors identified a continued breach of regulations concerning the safe management of medicines, with medicines not always being managed safely. Despite improvements made to both the environment and quality of care, these issues meant the overall rating remained at requires improvement.
