Summerdale Court Care Home, in Newham, provides personal and nursing care to up to 112 older people and people living with dementia, with 56 people using the service at the time of inspection. Rooms have en-suite facilities, and there is a communal lounge, dining room and garden. The CQC rated the home Good overall, an improvement on the previous requires improvement rating, after finding that earlier breaches had been resolved.

Inspectors found there were enough staff, robust recruitment, and good management of risks, safeguarding and medicines. Infection control measures were appropriately followed, and staff were well trained and supported to meet people's needs. Leadership was open and inclusive, with effective systems to monitor and improve the quality of care.
