Folkestone Nursing Home

Folkestone Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 45 older people, many of whom are living with dementia. At inspection, 42 residents were staying at the home, which is housed in an adapted building across three floors with lift access.

Risk assessments are in place to protect residents from harm, and building safety checks have been completed with plans to further improve the environment. Staff demonstrate good knowledge of safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures, and the home uses accidents and incidents as learning opportunities. The service maintains infection control measures to protect residents, recruits staff safely, and maintains adequate staffing levels to meet care needs. Medicines are managed safely throughout the home.
