Folkestone Nursing Home

Folkestone Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 50 older people, including some living with dementia. Previously rated requires improvement due to concerns around medicines, staff training, person-centred care and quality monitoring, the CQC found that significant improvements had been made and the service is now rated good overall.

Inspectors found people were kept safe, with sufficient staff, sound recruitment practices and effective risk management. Care was person-centred, staff were well trained and supported, and leadership was open and responsive. People and relatives spoke positively about the kindness of staff and the improvements made under new management.
