Stuart House

Stuart House provides personal care and accommodation for up to 21 people, with 18 residents at the time of inspection. The building was found to be clean and odour free. However, several areas required improvement. Clean laundry was being stored inappropriately in the laundry area, and the provider was advised to review their laundry handling procedures to prevent infection spread. Cleaning schedules did not consistently document enhanced cleaning of high-touch points such as banisters and door handles, or afternoon shift activities. One staff member required their COVID-19 vaccination, though the registered manager confirmed they had completed an exemption form and would be vaccinated before it expired. The registered manager was notified of these shortfalls for remedial action.
