Stoneacre Lodge Residential Home provides residential care for up to 24 older people, some living with dementia. The CQC found the service had come out of special measures, having made improvements across areas previously in breach, including safe care, safeguarding paperwork, person-centred care and governance. Inspectors rated the home Requires Improvement overall, noting that while care was now safe, effective and caring, new systems still needed to be embedded and sustained.

Residents and relatives spoke positively about staff kindness, food, and the pace of recent improvement, with one family member saying they now had confidence in the service. However, responsive care and leadership were both rated Requires Improvement, reflecting the need for changes made under a new management team to become fully established practice.
