The provider demonstrated strong infection control practices, including a dedicated visitor lounge that was sanitised after each use, with a booking system requiring visitors to take COVID-19 tests and wear personal protective equipment. Staff adhered to government guidance on PPE use, and signage throughout the home reinforced infection control measures. Environmental improvements had been made to support hygiene standards, including replacing dining room chairs and flooring with materials that could be thoroughly cleaned, and installing a staff changing room to allow staff to change before and after shifts. The provider had gathered feedback from people, staff and relatives through surveys about the service's pandemic response, using this information to make improvements and learn lessons from their approach.
