St Thomas' Priory

Hawksyard Priory Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 106 people across three floors, supporting younger adults, older people, and those with dementia, mental health needs, and physical disabilities. The home features access to a church and gardens. During the inspection, 29 people were using the service.

The inspection identified several significant concerns. Staff recruitment procedures were not always safe, and the risks posed by contractors working unaccompanied on site had not been properly considered. While some improvements had been made to medicines management, additional improvements were still needed. Inspectors found that risks to people were not always properly assessed or mitigated.
