St Stephens Care Home

St Stephens Care Home is a residential care home for up to 41 older people, including those living with dementia and nursing needs. The CQC rated the home Good overall. A new manager had strengthened governance and improved standards, and inspectors found the home to be safe, well-staffed and caring, with people protected from harm and risks well managed.

Some kitchen areas were found unclean on the day, though this was resolved immediately, and the provider already had plans to improve dementia-friendly adaptations and tidy the garden. Feedback from people and relatives was consistently positive, describing staff as attentive and the atmosphere like "one big family.
