About St Michaels

St Michaels is a residential care home in Lincolnshire, offering care for older people, including those living with dementia. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

St Michaels provides care for up to 40 older people, some living with dementia, and had 36 residents at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding enough trained staff, safe recruitment, and effective care planning. Minor issues were noted around medicine stock recording, recording of relatives' views in best interest decisions, and the effectiveness of some quality audits, all of which the registered manager acted to address.

Inspectors found an open, inclusive culture where people and relatives felt confident raising concerns and seeing them resolved. Residents described feeling safe, respected and well cared for, with one relative saying they would be happy to live there themselves. Staff were described as attentive, skilled and responsive to people's needs.
