Redcote House Residential Care Home

Redcote House provides personal and nursing care to up to 18 people aged 65 and over. At the time of inspection, 14 residents were receiving care at the home. Medicine records did not always accurately reflect stock levels, and administration information was sometimes unclear. While not all staff had received safeguarding training, those spoken with understood how to keep people safe. Some equipment was damaged, creating potential infection control risks, though staff implemented alternative measures to protect residents. The home had quality assurance processes in place, but some shortfalls had not been identified before inspection, and identified issues were not always addressed promptly. The environment was worn and required updating, and some staff had not received proper induction or ongoing training.
