St Marys Nursing Home

St Mary's Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care to up to 48 people aged 65 and over, younger adults, and those with physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, the home was supporting 32 people.

The provider had failed to ensure adequate maintenance of the environment, which created an increased risk of infection for residents. However, under new management, systems for overseeing and monitoring safety and quality had been largely improved. The new manager and deputy manager acknowledged further improvements were needed and demonstrated openness and honesty in addressing these concerns.
