St Martins accommodates up to 21 people requiring residential care and personal care. The service occupies a two-storey building with a large rear communal garden. At inspection, 15 people were living there.

However, inspectors found significant safety and infection control concerns. Premises and equipment were not clean or hygienic, and staff lacked clarity on their infection control responsibilities, putting people at risk of infection. Health and safety risks had not been properly identified or addressed in a timely manner. Although people told inspectors they felt safe, risks were not consistently assessed or monitored, and actions taken to reduce risks lacked clarity and coordination.
