St Mark's Care Home

The service is based within the St Mark's Hospital community precinct in Maidenhead and is part of the Bupa group. It provides accommodation and personal or nursing care to older adults, particularly those with dementia, across four units. The home accommodates up to 80 people and at inspection, 74 people used the service supported by 98 staff. Residents live in their own bedrooms with ensuite bathroom facilities, alongside communal lounges and dining rooms.

The care home provided exceptional care to people. Relatives, staff and community professionals consistently described the service as "excellent", "loving", "special" and "very well-led", with one relative calling it a "gem". The home was recognised as a unique place to live where people received outstanding support.
