St Leonards Court

St Leonards Court, located in Mundford, Norfolk, provides accommodation and personal care for up to 25 older people, some of whom live with dementia. At inspection, 22 people were using the service. Inspectors found that people were not always receiving safe care and treatment. Allegations of abuse or harm had not been consistently reported to local safeguarding teams, leaving inspectors unable to confirm these matters were handled appropriately or that action was taken to prevent reoccurrence. The inspection team made safeguarding referrals to the local authority. There was insufficient oversight of incidents, placing staff and residents at risk, with some incidents recurring and resulting in harm to people. The manager took immediate action to strengthen safeguarding procedures. Additionally, infection prevention and control measures were not consistently being followed to prevent the spread of infections.
