About Alexander Court

Alexander Court is a care home in Norfolk providing accommodation and personal care for people over 65, including those living with dementia, physical disability or sensory impairment. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, following its first inspection under new ownership. Inspectors found the entrance door was broken and unlockable, people had access to potentially harmful substances, and care plans did not always reflect needs such as diabetes management or low fluid intake.

Quality assurance processes had failed to identify these issues, though no harm had occurred.

Despite this, inspectors found a caring staff team who treated people with kindness and respect, and relatives spoke positively about staff skills. The provider worked well with health and community services and responded promptly to the concerns raised, taking immediate steps to improve.
