St Cyril's Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service

St Cyril's Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service provides neurological care and rehabilitation, with on site access to therapy teams, a GP and a consultant. Following a responsive assessment, the CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall and found four breaches of regulation, covering safe care and medicines, staffing, person centred care and governance. Risks and needs were not always properly assessed, medicines management was unsafe, and lessons from incidents were not consistently shared.

Inspectors found staff supervision and quality monitoring systems were not robust enough to drive improvement. However, people and relatives described staff as kind and caring, felt safe, and said medical advice was sought promptly when needed. Feedback from health and social care professionals was mostly positive.
