Lavender Villa

Lavender Villa provides nursing and personal care for up to 40 people requiring functional mental health care, currently supporting 35 residents. The purpose-built, single-story facility within the Grosvenor Villas complex offers private bedrooms and communal areas including living spaces, dining facilities, and adapted bathrooms. The management and staff team are committed to driving improvement, and people speak positively about the support they receive in achieving good outcomes.

Safety systems did not always identify shortfalls found during inspection, though the service was undergoing management restructuring with ongoing recruitment. While people expressed satisfaction with medicines support, records sometimes lacked sufficient detail about administering medicines covertly or managing occasional prescriptions. The provider was recommended to review best practice guidance to ensure safe medicines management. Staff recruitment followed safe procedures and staffing levels generally met people's needs. The service completed relevant risk assessments and staff demonstrated knowledge of risk reduction strategies with appropriate documentation in place.
