Springfield House Retirement Home

Springfield House provides personal care for up to 22 older people, currently supporting 18 residents. People reported feeling safe, with safeguarding processes in place to reduce abuse risks. Staffing levels were adequate to meet needs, and risk assessments were conducted to mitigate potential hazards, with lessons learned from incidents and accidents. Staff demonstrated understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and supported residents with maximum choice and control over their care in the least restrictive ways possible.

Inspectors identified that medicines were not always managed safely and recommended the provider investigate errors more thoroughly. Health and safety checks were carried out, though actions from a previous electrical test remained incomplete. The registered manager took immediate action to address this issue, confirming the work was completed following the inspection.
