Southwell Court Care Home

This residential care home provides personal care to up to 82 older adults, many of whom are living with advanced dementia. At inspection, 52 people were using the service. Systems effectively protect people from abuse and neglect, with risks properly assessed, managed and monitored. Staff are described by residents and relatives as kind and knowledgeable, providing safe medicine management. The service has implemented infection control measures and investigates all incidents and accidents through the registered manager and senior management team.

The home promotes choice and control, supporting people in the least restrictive ways possible and in their best interests. The registered manager, deputy manager and staff foster an open, inclusive and person-centred culture. Management takes responsibility for being transparent with people and responds appropriately when issues arise.
