Short Breaks - 8 Broadlands Walk

Short Breaks - 8 Broadlands Walk provides respite care for up to four people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs. At inspection, one person was using the service. The home focuses on helping people develop new skills and become more independent, with staff actively encouraging participation in the local community. Staff have invested significant effort in understanding what people want from their lives and taking steps to help them achieve these goals.

People report that staff are kind and caring. Staff are well informed about people's life histories and preferences, using this information to build positive relationships and deliver personalised care. The service regularly assesses and reviews people's physical, mental health and social needs, updating care plans as circumstances change. People and their representatives are fully involved in decisions about their care, and risk assessments are in place to identify potential risks and appropriate safeguards.
