Sandalwood Court

Sandalwood Court provides accommodation and personal care for up to 60 older people and those living with dementia, with 43 residents on the day of inspection. The service had implemented comprehensive infection control measures including a visitor booking system with LFD testing, vaccination verification, and temperature checks. Isolation and zoning protocols were in place to manage infection spread, with staff allocated to specific areas should anyone test positive. The building layout supported social distancing with multiple lounges and dining areas on each floor, and every resident had access to their own toilet and shower facilities. Enhanced cleaning and disinfection took place throughout the service, with plentiful personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, aprons and hand sanitiser available at stations positioned around the home.
