Ryhope Manor Care Home

Ryhope Manor Care Home provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 31 people, most living with dementia, with 28 people using the service at the time of assessment. The CQC rates the home as Requires Improvement, an improvement on its previous inadequate rating, which has now come out of special measures.

Inspectors found medicines were still not managed safely, and health and safety of the premises, equipment maintenance and infection control remained areas of concern. Care planning had improved but was not always person-centred. Staffing levels were adequate, and people and relatives spoke warmly about caring staff and a supportive registered manager.
