Marigold Nursing Home

Marigold Nursing Home provides accommodation with nursing and personal care for up to 49 people, including those living with dementia. An unannounced inspection, prompted by concerns about poor care and management oversight, found breaches relating to person-centred care and governance. Inspectors found inconsistent leadership had allowed safety risks, maintenance issues and unsecured areas to go unaddressed, placing people at risk of harm.

Staffing, training and recruitment checks were inconsistent, and mealtimes lacked organisation. Communal spaces meant for residents were being used for storage, and medicines competency checks had lapsed. Families gave positive feedback about care staff but felt overall standards had declined, citing poor communication, laundry problems and inconsistent attention to people's needs.
