Rush Court

Rush Court provides personal and nursing care across two floors for up to 40 people aged 65 and over, with one floor specialising in nursing care. At inspection, 39 people were using the service. People felt safe and were supported by sufficient staff trained to report concerns relating to harm and abuse. Effective risk assessment and management systems were in place, and medicines were managed safely with people receiving prescribed medication as intended. Staff had the skills and knowledge to meet people's needs and received appropriate support in their roles.

People were supported to access health care professionals when required and spoke positively about the food provision, with dietary needs being met. The home supported people to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff working in the least restrictive way possible and in people's best interests. Policies and systems across the service supported this approach.
