Rowland House Care Home

Rowland House Care Home supports a small number of people with acquired brain injury or neurological conditions. The CQC rated the service as requires improvement overall. Inspectors found gaps in person-centred care, limited activities, weak community links and care plans lacking detail on life histories and end of life wishes.

Medicines storage and some infection control issues also needed attention, though these were already being addressed.

The home was without a registered manager, but an interim manager had made positive changes and staff reported feeling supported. Relatives said staff were kind, knew their family members' needs, and they felt safe and well cared for, with improvements noted since the interim manager's arrival.
