This residential care home accommodates nine younger adults with learning disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, providing personal care and support. At the time of inspection, all nine places were occupied. The service had implemented robust infection prevention measures including restricted access for non-essential visitors, pre-arranged visits with COVID-19 testing requirements, and proper PPE use by staff. People returning from other settings such as hospitals or family homes were tested on arrival and required to self-isolate for at least 14 days. Those testing positive or showing symptoms similarly self-isolated in their bedrooms. The service facilitated alternative social contact through phone and video calls to help residents maintain relationships with relatives and friends.
