Rowan/Beech House

Rowan House and Beech House provides care and support for nine people with mental health needs across two residential homes in close proximity to each other. Both homes are terraced houses over two floors with garden areas. At the time of inspection, eight people were using the service.

The provider had implemented appropriate Covid-19 safety measures including temperature checks and risk assessment forms for all visitors, who were required to wear face coverings. Garden areas facilitated safe family visits. The service had adequate Personal Protective Equipment and followed government testing guidance for both people and staff. Most staff had received Covid-19 training and understood appropriate PPE use. While formal risk assessments for staff were not in place, their health and wellbeing were discussed during supervision, and staff were supported to access the furlough scheme where necessary.
