Shila House is a care home without nursing, providing accommodation and personal care to people living with long term mental health conditions. The CQC rated the service good overall, following an assessment that looked closely at safety, staffing, medicines and how people are supported to make choices.

Inspectors found people felt safe and well cared for, with staff who understood their needs. Risk assessments and care plans clearly reflected individual needs, and people were fully involved in planning and reviewing their own care.

Shila House is a care home, without nursing, registered to provide accommodation and personal care. The service provides care and support to people living with long term mental health conditions. The assessment commenced on 18 January 2024 and was completed on 5 February 2024. The assessment included a visit to the service by an inspector and an assessor on 18 January 2024. We looked at 6 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Medicines optimisation; Independence choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes. Following the assessment, the service has received an overall rating of good.
