Arthur Lodge Residential Care Home

Arthur Lodge provides accommodation and care for up to 11 adults with learning disabilities, including those with dual diagnoses of mental health conditions. At the time of inspection, 9 people were using the service. Staff communicated with residents in ways that met their individual needs and supported them to access health and social care in the community. The service maintained a safe environment and staff knew people well, supporting them in the least restrictive ways possible and in their best interests. However, inspectors found that up to date mental capacity assessments had not been completed, meaning people were not always supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives.
