Rotherlea

Rotherlea accommodates up to 70 people in an adapted building and is part of Shaw Healthcare Limited's group of homes. The service cares primarily for people living with dementia, as well as those with disabilities associated with older age and frailty. At inspection, 55 people were residing at the home.

The home demonstrated effective infection control measures, with people and staff cohorted to specific areas to reduce transmission risk. The premises maintained high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, with robust processes in place for cleaning high-touch areas, communal spaces, and individual rooms. An effective laundry system ensured contaminated laundry was managed appropriately.
