Rosedale Nursing Home

The following is CQC's published account of its assessment, published 13 May 2026. References to “we” mean CQC. It describes findings at that time.

Date of assessment: 22 April to 1 May 2026. The service is a residential nursing home providing accommodation and personal care to adults of all ages. The home is registered for 68 people. At the time of our inspection there were 60 people living at the home.

People received good, person-centered care that respected their dignity, preferences, routines, and what was important to them. Staff and managers knew people well and demonstrated a genuine commitment to valuing people as individuals.

People were supported to stay safe through detailed, person-centered risk assessments and care records that reflected their needs, preferences and routines. This included information about people’s health conditions. There was a robust system of safe staff recruitment in place. Staff received effective training, support and supervision. Medicines were managed safely and evidence showed a good standard of care. The provider was meeting the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (2005), and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) applications had been made where required.

Care was planned and delivered in a way that was responsive to people’s individual needs and choices. Staff sought specialist advice where required and worked effectively with external health and social care professionals. Care was reviewed regularly to respond to any changes in people’s needs.

The registered manager and provider had good oversight of the service, supported by an effective team who worked well together. Staff spoke positively about the open and supportive culture and told us they felt encouraged to raise concerns and felt listened to and valued. There was a shared commitment across the staff team to providing consistent, person-centered care and learning from experience. One staff member told us, “It’s a very friendly team. I love coming into work every day.”
