Rosedale Court

Rosedale Court provides personal and nursing care to up to 81 people, predominantly older adults and those with nursing care needs, including some living with dementia. At inspection, 68 people were using the service. The home's quality and safety monitoring processes were not effective and failed to promptly identify and address concerns. Risks to people's safety were not always managed appropriately, and staff lacked detailed, up-to-date guidance about individual needs and preferences. Care was not personalised, and it was unclear how people and their families were involved in planning and reviewing their care.

The provider's processes for managing incidents and safeguarding concerns were not robust. People were not always supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, and staff did not consistently support them in the least restrictive way possible. Eating and drinking support needs were not always fully met, with insufficient staff available to provide encouragement. While trained staff managed medicines, records did not always contain necessary information. Though the home worked with various health professionals, feedback indicated concerns about the timeliness of escalating people's health issues to other agencies.
