This residential care home provides accommodation and nursing or personal care to up to 35 older people, many living with dementia and mental health needs. At inspection, there were 34 people using the service. The home's care delivery had significant safety concerns. Risk information for individuals was not consistently recorded, and medicines were not managed safely or properly. Staff training was not effectively embedded in daily practice. People at risk of poor nutrition and hydration were not adequately monitored, with fluid intake not always meeting their needs. Inspectors found that people were not consistently treated with dignity and respect, and the service did not consistently support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives or ensure staff used the least restrictive approaches possible in their best interests. The home's policies and systems did not support these practices, and lessons were not learned when issues occurred.
