About Roseacre

Roseacre is a residential care home in Cornwall, providing accommodation for people living with dementia or physical disabilities. Further detail on the most recent CQC findings for the home is set out below.

Roseacre supports up to 22 people living with dementia or physical disabilities. The CQC rated the home requires improvement, a fall from its previous good rating, after finding breaches relating to safe care, recruitment, premises, person-centred care and governance. Inspectors found care plans and risk assessments were out of date, incidents were poorly recorded, and medicines management needed improvement.

Parts of the building required updating.

Staff were kind and people spoke positively about feeling safe and well cared for, with good food praised by residents and relatives. However, activities were limited, largely dependent on staff availability. New managers had begun introducing improvements at the time of the assessment.
