About Robin Hood House

Robin Hood House is a residential care home in Hertfordshire, providing personal care and accommodation for older people. Details of the latest CQC findings are set out below.

Robin Hood House provides personal care to 19 people aged 65 and over across three floors, with capacity for up to 23 residents. The home offers communal lounges and dining rooms, and residents enjoy views of the surrounding countryside from their bedrooms and a generous garden.

However, the home faces significant safety concerns. Risk assessments were not consistently completed to fully indicate the level of risk to residents' health and wellbeing, and guidance for staff to support people safely with their medical conditions was lacking. Medicines were not always managed safely, and there were not enough staff to keep people safe, with staff diverted to additional tasks like meal preparation.

A high number of falls in the home were unwitnessed and occurred in communal areas.
