About Highview Lodge

Highview Lodge is a residential care home in Hertfordshire, providing personal care and accommodation for older people. Full details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Highview Lodge provides personal care and accommodation for up to 77 older people, including those living with dementia, across four separate units. The CQC assessed the home following concerns about safety and wellbeing, and it remains rated Requires Improvement. Inspectors found breaches relating to risk management, person-centred care and governance, with gaps in care plans, fluid monitoring, capacity assessments and staff supervision.

Despite this, people and relatives generally felt safe and spoke positively about caring staff, describing the home as recommendable. The premises were clean, meals were well regarded, and healthcare needs were met. The provider has since submitted a Service Improvement Plan to address the shortfalls identified.
