About Ribble View

Ribble View is a nursing home in Lancashire, providing care for people with complex health needs and physical disabilities. The findings below set out what the CQC observed on inspection.

This nursing home accommodates up to 30 people with multiple complex health needs and physical disabilities across three floors, each with dining and communal spaces. At inspection, 26 people were using the service. Staff demonstrated strong knowledge of individual residents' clinical presentations and maintained clear risk management strategies for choking, with staff fully aware of how to manage identified risks.

The home balances residents' choices with appropriate risk management, though some record details could be clearer. Communication systems between the home and external professionals could be improved to ensure more effective information sharing, something the registered manager acknowledged as a priority for future development.
