Read House accommodates up to 40 people requiring personal care, including those with physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and dementia. At inspection, 35 people were using the service. Staff demonstrated safe medicine administration and effective infection prevention practices, with sufficient staffing to provide responsive care. People received assessments on joining to inform their care planning. The provider took effective action when issues arose and implemented lessons learned. Residents reported feeling welcomed and secure at the home. Some improvements were recommended regarding recruitment practices.
