Rathgar Care Home, in West Northamptonshire, provides personal care for up to 23 older people and specialises in dementia care. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found staff were kind, committed and worked well with health professionals, and people and relatives spoke warmly of the caring, homely atmosphere and the approachable management team.

However, the CQC found governance was not always robust, and a breach of regulation relating to good governance was identified, alongside shortfalls in safety oversight. No evidence of harm to people was found, and the provider has been asked to submit an action plan setting out improvements.
