Abington Park View Care Home

Abington Park View Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 29 older people, including those living with dementia, physical frailty or sensory impairments. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding two breaches of regulation relating to safe care and governance. Inspectors identified environmental hazards, incomplete recruitment checks and care plans lacking detail, alongside quality monitoring that had not caught these issues promptly.

Despite this, staff were found to be kind and respectful, and people and relatives described feeling safe, well cared for and involved in decisions about their care. Medicines management was mostly safe, with only minor recording gaps. Leaders were open to feedback and had begun action to strengthen oversight, staffing deployment and recruitment records.
