About Queen Elizabeth House

Queen Elizabeth House is a residential care home in Bromley, offering accommodation and personal care for older people, including some living with dementia or physical disabilities. The most recent CQC findings for the home are set out below.

Queen Elizabeth House, in Bromley, is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 28 older people, some living with dementia or physical disabilities. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, a decline from its previous Good rating, after finding breaches relating to safe care, consent and governance. Inspectors found risks were not always properly assessed, staffing levels appeared minimal, medicines were not always managed safely, and care plans lacked personal detail.

People and relatives told inspectors they felt safe and were treated with kindness and respect, and were involved in planning their care. However, mealtime experiences were not always positive and staff did not consistently follow Mental Capacity Act principles. Monitoring systems in place were not effective at driving improvement.
