Pytchley Court Nursing Home

This nursing home provides care for up to 40 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 29 people were receiving care.

Infection control procedures required improvement. Personal protective equipment had not been disposed of appropriately and cleaning schedules lacked detailed documentation of actions taken. The home did not have sufficient systems to identify shortfalls in care. Audits that were completed had not always identified concerns or had documented actions. Care records were not consistently completed and had not been audited.

Staff and relatives expressed concerns that there were insufficient staff on duty to meet residents' needs.
