Puttenham Hill House Care Home

Puttenham Hill House Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 30 older people living with dementia and physical disabilities across three separate units. At inspection, the home was caring for 23 people. Staff deployment was ineffective, leaving people at risk, and although staff were aware of care-related risks, these were not always managed safely. Quality assurance was not consistently effective, and the provider had not maintained robust oversight, resulting in a deterioration of care standards since the previous inspection.

Despite these concerns, people were supported to have maximum choice and control in their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches in their best interests. People had access to health care professionals, and residents and relatives praised staff for being kind and caring. Safety checks were in place and fire protection plans were established.
