Prospect House Care Home

Prospect House Care Home, in St. Helens, provides personal care without nursing for up to 24 people, with 10 people living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC found the service had made significant improvements since previous breaches around dignity, safe care, consent, premises and governance, and rated it good overall.

The service was previously in Special Measures but is no longer, following stronger governance, better care planning and improved oversight of risk and safety.

Inspectors found staff were kind, attentive and knew people well, with families praising communication, staffing levels and the registered manager's approachable leadership. Families said their relatives were safe, well cared for and involved in decisions about their care, though one relative felt there could be more one-to-one engagement.
