Griffin House Care Home

Griffin House Care Home accommodates up to 26 people needing help with personal care, with 21 residents living there at inspection. Inspectors found that people's capacity to consent to specific decisions relating to their care was not being properly assessed in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005. This issue persisted from previous inspections, and insufficient improvement had been made, leaving the service in breach of regulations around consent. This breach affected the home's ratings in the areas of effectiveness and leadership.

Beyond this concern, service delivery in other areas of residents' care had continued to improve since the last inspection.
