Prince of Wales House

Prince of Wales House accommodates up to 49 people requiring residential care and support, many living with dementia, in an adapted building. At inspection, 45 people were using the service. Inspectors found people received an extremely caring and compassionate service with their views and preferences valued and listened to. Care was tailored to individuals' diverse needs, ensuring people's support was personalised to them. Staff supported people to have their needs and preferences met, achieving good outcomes.

Relatives consistently provided extremely positive feedback about the service. One relative said, "We couldn't be happier with the care [family member] gets. The staff are always brilliant both with [them] and also us…the communication is superb." Another stated, "I am reassured when I leave the home knowing [family member] is loved and cared for." People had access to a range of creative activities and trips out, which residents particularly enjoyed. Staff encouraged participation in activities throughout the home.
